You are applying for the Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse position on Weekend Double with 1-3 Years Experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the provision of care and the supervision of direct care staff in the retirement community under the supervision of the Director of Nursing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (list specific job duties)

A. Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.

B. Evaluates staffing pattern needed to meet the needs of the residents in conjunction with the Director of Resident Care Services.

C. Administers medication/treatments as prescribed.

D. Receive, transcribe, implement physician’s orders.

E. Implements and evaluates care plans.

F. Identifies/secures equipment supplies

G. Directs/oversees subordinates.

H. Participates in duty assignments.

I. Organizes/coordinates subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.




JOB DESCRIPTION
LICENSED VOCATIONAL/PRACTICAL STAFF NURSE (LVN)

J. Oversees/monitors function and activities of subordinate staff.

K. Evaluate staff performance and institutes appropriate action discipline/training.

L. Monitors infection control compliance.

M. Investigates/documents accidents/incidents.


QUALIFICATIONS:

? Current, valid licensure as a LVN/LPN required
? Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
? Management/Supervisory experience required
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed
? Strong written and verbal skills required
